Bishop tries to exit through the rear of the building through a loading dock, but police are stationed there and arrest her when she comes outside. In an interview with police, Bishop denies the shooting. She says she “wasn’t there and it didn’t happen”. She later says that she considered her victims “friends” and had no reason to be angry with them. She says that she was seeing things and hearing things that were hallucinations while in jail. She says that once she was placed on anti-psychotic medication, her thinking became clearer. She continually says that she has no memory of the event.
