According to fellow students, he appears calm and at times happy during the shooting. He grins and smirks as he shoots his victims. He begins by shooting two students in the men’s bathroom. Then he fires into a crowd of students. Some of his victims are his friends, others are strangers. As soon as police arrive, he throws down his revolver and surrenders. He shows little remorse after he surrenders to police, and has a calm and callous demeanor while being interviewed, according to reports from Dr. Langman.
