Flores walks into the office of a nursing instructor and shoots her multiple times with his handgun. He then walks up to the fourth floor and shoots into a classroom of 20 students, hitting the instructor. Students in a nearby classroom hear gunfire and screaming and call the Tucson police and campus police. Flores walks to the back of the classroom and shoots his last target, another instructor. He orders two students in the classroom the leave, and then later allows the remaining students to leave.
