The teacher then informs the the Bethany Middle School principal, who searches the student's locker and finds the gun in the backpack. The principal pulls the student out of class and detains him in his office. The principal acted very swiftly, subdued the student, and the police were notified," said Bethany Schools Superintendent Kent Shellenberger.
