He threatens suicide multiple times, but he is known as a prankster and his friends do not believe his threats. His threats sound slightly comedic as well. Dr. Langman mentions an instance where Brazill becomes very angry when a teacher confiscates his soda. Brazill retaliates by throwing the teacher’s pens and pencils away. His anger reportedly lasts for weeks. At the time of the shooting, Brazill might have felt “shown up” when the teacher does not let him in the classroom, according to Dr. Langman, and once again retaliates angrily.
