Zawahri at this point is in Parking Lot 1, and begins to walk towards campus while shooting at cars and students. He kills two people in a car. He fires shots in the Liberal Arts Building and then “walks at a steady gait” towards the center of campus, shooting at students. He then walks into the library, and on his way, kills another victim. When students see him, they run and lock the door behind themselves. Zawahri knocks on the door and says “open the door. I’m the police. I’m going to count to five”. He then shoots several rounds into the wall and the door.
