Acord suddenly brings up bombs in a conversation at school. He approaches a group of students in a cooking class and asks if they were talking about bombs. Then, he begins listing the different materials you need to make a pipe bomb. The other students dismissed the comments, one saying he “Didn’t think much of it” and “didn’t think it was a warning sign that he was going to blow up the school, just a casual conversation”. This student mentions that in retrospect, the comments should have raised suspicion, but because Acord was “kind of a strange kid”, the other student did not think the comments were notable.
