Lewis Bennett III, an acquaintance of Cossey's whom Cossey tries to recruit, informs police with his father at 7:30 P.M. about Cossey's plan. Bennett does so after he learns that Cossey's mother purchased him a 9mm rifle with a laser scope. Officials think the tip was prompted by Wednesday's shooting at a school in Cleveland, Ohio.
