Carpenter tries to buy a Mossberg 590 A1 12-guage tactical shotgun at a Torrington gun store (Tactical Arms). She is denied because she does not have a long gun certificate. Later that evening, Carpenter talks about the Columbine School shooting to a fellow patient at Hope House.
