According to his sister, his schizophrenia starts to manifest itself at this point, as he talks to himself and to “others” who are not there. He has no friends, and imagines guns are pulled on him by fellow students. He acts erratically and starts behaving as if he were a gang member. He instigates confrontations with individuals who were truly members of a street gang. According to his sister, his erratic behavior occurs mostly at home.
