Steven begins making plans to shoot the girl and others as a result of her insulting posts. When the teens are fighting via Instagram, Steven begins to threaten to commit a school shooting. At the time, the girl does not believe the shooting threats are real. According to law enforcement, the boys’ plans involve purchasing firearms and selecting specific targets. Also according to law enforcement, the boys communicate with someone in Detroit about buying MAC-10s, which are compact submachine guns, and Glock handguns to use on Oct. 30.
